\n An established M&E contractor is growing its commercial team following a recent change. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a few years' experience who is ready to step into a broader, more accountable role.
\n This is an urgent requirement, so candidates on short notice (or immediately available) are highly desirable.

The role

\n
\n
• Manage commercial aspects of projects from start to finish
\n
• Work closely with the Commercial Lead while developing autonomy
\n
• Office based near Hitchin, with site visits across London / South East
\n
• Exposure to varied projects - not siloed or repetitive work
\n
\n

What we're looking for
\n This role is ideal for someone who already has a strong QS foundation and is looking to step up and take ownership.

You will bring:

\n
• Solid experience in cost control, budgeting and reporting
\n
• Hands-on involvement in valuations, variations and final accounts
\n
• Experience supporting or leading subcontractor procurement and management
\n
• Understanding of contract administration
\n
• Ability to track project performance and flag commercial risks
\n
• Strong numerical accuracy with clear, confident communication
\n
• M&E experience would be great but not essential
\n
