Process Technician \n\nPlymouth \n\n£38,000 \n\nYolk Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturer that has continued to invest in their Plymouth facility. The site runs a range of modern machinery and supporting equipment, with a strong focus on engineering standards, safety and continuous improvement.\n\nThey are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Process Technician to join their dynamic shopfloor team in the multi axis high precision CNC Turning & Milling. This role is ideal for individuals with an engineering mindset and a passion for solving technical challenges at the machine level.\n\nThis role offers exciting opportunities for career progression and technical development within a high precision manufacturing setting.\n\nThis is what you will be doing:\n\nSupport daily production processes in our agile CNC Turning & Milling cells to ensure optimal machine performance and product quality\nDiagnose and resolve technical issues on the shopfloor using engineering fundamentals and root cause analysis\nCollaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to implement process improvements\nAssist in tooling selection, setup, and maintenance to ensure efficient operations\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and safety\nContribute to the development and documentation of process control methods and standard work instructions\nSupport the integration of apprentices and new technicians through mentoring and knowledge sharing \n\nThis is the experience you will bring to the role:\n\nTechnical apprenticeship or hands-on engineering background\nStrong mechanical aptitude and shopfloor experience (e.g., toolmaking, machine setup, etc.)\nProven problem-solving ability grounded in engineering principles\nExperience with or a strong interest in mill turning and 5 axis machining, preferably with Swiss style laith experience also\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment\nPrior experience in complex milling or turning environments\nEngineering graduates with prior practical experienceThis is what you will get in return:\n\n25 days of paid holiday, plus bank holidays\nProfessional Development\nSubsidised Canteen\nEngagement and Rewards platform, with access to discounts at over 100 retailers\nFree Parking \n\nAre you up to the challenge?\n If you feel you have the skills, experience and passion to be successful in this role apply now!\n \n *Please note, whilst we do our best to contact all candidates, due to the high number of applications we receive we cannot guarantee this for every role.
