We are seeking a Practice Tax Manager to join a dynamic tax team in Exeter, specialising in overseas and non-residential clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work with trusts, high-net-worth individuals, and a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, providing both compliance and advisory services.\n\nKey Duties\n\nManage a portfolio of personal tax cases, including trusts and HNW individuals.\n\nDraft reports and letters providing tax advice, including IHT planning, residence, and domicile matters.\n\nMeet with clients to ascertain their tax planning needs and provide strategic guidance.\n\nAdvise on CGT for property, shares, and other assets for UK and non-UK residents.\n\nReview the work of junior staff and contribute to their professional development.\n\nProvide and manage compliance services, including preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns and computations.\n\nIdentify opportunities to promote cross-department services, including financial planning colleagues.\n\nRequest, collate, and maintain accurate client information.\n\nCorrespond confidently with clients, HMRC, solicitors, and other professional services firms.\n\nMaintain a high level of client care, professionalism, and discretion in all interactions.\n\nAbout You\n\nPrevious experience in tax compliance and advisory, including drafting reports.\n\nATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent) with current technical knowledge.\n\nStrong understanding of regulatory compliance standards for tax.\n\nOrganised, with the ability to plan time efficiently to meet deadlines.\n\nProfessional, discreet, and confident, able to build rapport quickly with clients.\n\nExcellent communication skills for interacting with clients and professional contacts.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive salary of £40,000-£55,000 plus benefits.\n\nOpportunity to work with a supportive, growth-focused tax team.\n\nExposure to complex overseas and non-residential tax matters.\n\nCareer development and continuous learning opportunities in a collaborative environment.\n\nInterested?\n\nApply now or contact our Exeter office to find out more!\n\nAcorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment
