Planner / Senior Planner

Job Description

We are recruiting a Planner / Senior Planner to join a tier-one leader's expanding Energy unit. You will take ownership of a major £80m high-voltage infrastructure programme spread across three geographical sites, balancing hybrid working with regional site visits.

The Role\n

Bridging the gap between initial scheduling and live site execution, your day-to-day will involve:

    Programme Management: Developing, maintaining, and updating detailed project schedules to reflect change.

  • \n
  • \n

    Delivery Interface: Acting as the main link between the planning function and project delivery teams.

  • \n
  • \n

    Progress Tracking: Monitoring and reporting real-time project progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).

  • \n
  • \n

    Contract Compliance: Leading weekly review meetings and producing NEC3/NEC4 contract-compliant reports.

  • \n
  • \n

    Scheduling: Building site planning schedules, phasing plans, and communicating status to stakeholders.

Essential Requirements\n
    \n
  • \n

    Sector Experience: Project planning background within the UK infrastructure, utility, or power sectors. HV electrical or substation experience is highly desirable.

  • \n

    Software Skills: Advanced, hands-on proficiency with Primavera P6 and Aphex.

  • \n
  • \n

    Contract Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contract mechanisms.

  • \n
  • \n

    Analytics: Demonstrated capability in progress tracking and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.

  • \n
  • \n

    Location: Degree-qualified (or equivalent) and commutable across the Northwest / North Wales for hybrid site visits.
