Painter and Decorator – Subcontractor\n\n-£35,000 - £38,000 pa\n-Birmingham\n-40hr working week\n-Overtime rates\n\n-Mileage allowance\n\nWe are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and decorating interior and exterior surfaces to a high standard throughout Hotels, Cafes, Care homes & Restaurant / Pub Chains in the Midlands.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming.\n\n * Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.\n\n * Decorate interior and exterior spaces according to client specifications.\n\n * Protect surrounding areas and furniture from damage during work.\n\n * Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and organised manner.\n\n * Communicate effectively with clients, providing advice on finishes and techniques.\n\n * Complete work to agreed deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.\n\nEssential Skills and Qualifications\n\n * NVQ or equivalent qualification in painting and decorating (desirable)\n\n * Proven experience as a painter and decorator.\n\n * Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and in various physical conditions.\n\n * Strong communication and customer service skills.\n\n * Health and safety awareness, including the safe use of ladders\n\nBenefits\n\n * Basic salary from: £35,000 - £38,000 pa\n\n * 40hr working week: 8.30am – 4:30pm\n\n * Overtime rates\n\n * Mileage allowance\n\nBB1
