Backed by over 110 years of combined experience and the wider strength of Axis CLC, operating from 23 UK offices and employing more than 2,500 people nationwide, we support housing providers and public sector clients with high-quality maintenance and compliance services that help keep residents safe, properties well maintained and communities supported.\n\nThe Role\n\nWe are recruiting several experienced and versatile Multi trade Operatives to support our long-term partnership with Notting Hill Genesis (NHG), one of London’s largest and most respected housing providers.\n\nIn this role, you’ll help deliver reactive repairs and maintenance across thousands of homes ensuring residents live in properties that are safe, comfortable and well‑maintained. You’ll be supported by modern digital systems that keep work flowing efficiently and give you everything you need to deliver a first‑class service.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * \n\n Carry out plastering to a high standard\n\n * \n\n Undertake plumbing repairs and minor installations (desirable)\n\n * \n\n Perform carpentry duties including repairs and basic joinery (desirable)\n\n * \n\n Support with a broad range of general property maintenance duties\n\n * \n\n Work effectively both independently and within a team\n\n * \n\n Ensure all work meets safety, quality and customer service standards\n\nAbout You\n\n * \n\n Strong plastering skills Ideally NVQ Level 2\n\n * \n\n Working knowledge of plumbing and carpentry\n\n * \n\n Ability to diagnose faults and deliver effective repairs\n\n * \n\n Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail\n\n * \n\n Experience working in tenanted properties\n\n * \n\n Familiar with PDA usage\n\n * \n\n Additional trade qualifications\n\n * \n\n NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 minimum\n\n * \n\n Clean, valid UK driving licence\n\n * \n\n DBS check (or willingness to undertake)\n\n * \n\n Eligible to work in the UK (proof required)\n\n * \n\n Professional, customer-focused presentation\n\nWhat we offer\n\n * \n\n Up to £38,000 per annum depending upon experience\n\n * \n\n Pension scheme and life assurance\n\n * \n\n Company van and fuel card for work purposes\n\n * \n\n 23 days’ annual leave + bank holidays\n\n * \n\n Up to £2,000 colleague referral fee\n\n * \n\n 24/7 GP referral and wellbeing support service\n\n * \n\n Perkbox – discounts on coffee, cinema, travel and wellbeing\n\n * \n\n 1 paid volunteer day each year\n\n * \n\n Ongoing training, support and progression, Axis promotes from within\n\nWhy Axis CLC\n\nJoining Axis CLC means being part of a national team delivering essential services across housing, education, healthcare, defence and commercial property.
