As a Maintenance Engineer you'll be a key member of a multi-skilled maintenance team carrying out the maintenance, repair and improvement of all equipment through planned and non-planned activities to maximise plant availability and efficiency.
You will be responsible for;
Respecting and adhering to standards in key areas such as health and safety, food safety environment, hygiene, and of course product quality assurance Providing knowledge and support in the event of plant failure The diagnosis and repair of plant, equipment breakdowns or defects, working closely with production team colleagues to advise on resolution actions and time frames Carrying out scheduled PPM tasks and fault reporting Ensuring daily maintenance activity is recorded accurately and in a timely manner on the computerised maintenance management system Communicating repairs or diagnostic issues to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor
We're looking for people with;
Experience as a time served engineer ideally qualified to a level 3 with an Electrical or mechanical engineering background - knowledge of programmable logic controllers would be an advantage Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally within food production The desire to learn and develop their skills across both electrical and mechanical disciplines The ability to work to clear priorities and within defined processes Great communication skills and the ability to support colleagues and work collaboratively with key departments A flexible and adaptable mind set in order to take responsibility and ownership appropriately to changing maintenance requirements and effectively prioritise

This is a permanent position which works to a rotating shift pattern of 3 on and 3 off 12 hours, days and nights across the year.
