Flood Risk Associate

My Client, a market leading Engineering and Environmental Consultancy who specialise in town planning, flood risk management and drainage infrastructure, is searching for an Associate to manage and grow a new flood risk team in Edinburgh.\n\nCandidates are required to have an academic background in Hydrology, Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering and have achieved or be close to achieving Chartered Status.\n\nYou will also be required to have vast experience specialising in flood risk management and drainage designs for residential and commercial development projects.\n\nManagement experience is also required in order to manage and mentor team members.\n\nAs a Flood Risk Associate, you will be required to manage projects, liaise with clients to discuss project development and mentor and support the flood risk team to complete technical work.\n\nYou will be required to review, amend, check and complete the following;\n\n-Flood risk assessments\n\n-Surface water and catchment management plans\n\n-Surface water drainage strategies\n\n- Foul sewerage and trade effluent drainage strategies to assess the viability of constructing new sewers or private treatment systems.\n\n-Detailed storm and foul water drainage network design and modelling.\n\n-Liaise with Local Authorities and Government Bodies to obtain Environmental Permits and Drainage Consents.\n\n-Team management and mentoring of staff.\n\n-Client meetings to discuss the project progress and to develop new business opportunities with both new and existing Clients.\n\nThis role offers a competitive salary, flexible working (2 days a week in Edinburgh) and benefits package and career development.\n\nIf this role is of interest to you, please contact Jordanna Morris at Aztrum
