The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Support students with varying abilities and needs, adapting teaching strategies where required
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing timely feedback
• Help prepare students for GCSE English Language and Literature
• Contribute to a positive learning environment that encourages confidence and resilience
• Work closely with colleagues and support staff to ensure all students are supported effectively

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching English up to KS4
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse needs
• A genuine passion for education and improving outcomes for young people
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience in alternative provision or working with vulnerable learners is desirable but not essential
