Early Years Practitioner

Job Description

Academics are currently looking for dedicated and qualified Early Years Practitioners to join our team. You will work across our partnership nurseries and mainstream primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. \n\nOur opportunities are ideal for Early Years Practitioners who are seeking varied experience in a variety of nurseries and schools, a work-life balance, or those returning to the workforce on a full or part time flexible basis.

\n\nResponsibilities of a Early Years Practitioner:\n\nWork alongside fellow practitioners and teachers to deliver fun EYFS appropriate lessons and activities.\nProvide high standards of care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.\nSupporting children's early literacy, numeracy, communication, and personal development.\nTo encourage independence, positive behaviour, and social interaction.For this role, candidates who apply must have:\n\nA minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).\nA good level of literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 or Grade C and above/Functional Skills Level 2 in the minimum required).\nPrevious experience working with young children in a nursery or primary classroom setting (in the UK). \nBe happy to travel and to be able to get to our partnership nurseries and primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent by 8.30am with sometimes only 30-60 minute's notice for our on the day supply requirements.\nStrong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.\nPaediatric First Aid (or to be willing to work towards). Please be aware that your daily rate will be dependent upon experience, prior qualifications, training, and the client rate that is currently available.
