Business Development Executive - Airfreight

Job Description

Location: Home based \n\nSalary: £60,000.00 + £6,200 car allowance + commission\n\nSummary: \n\nWe are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Executive with proven air freight sales experience to join our client's growing commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to win new business, build long-term customer partnerships, and help expand their air freight offering across key sectors and geographies. You will develop your own sales pipeline, identify and convert new opportunities, and work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver value-led logistics solutions.

You will play a key part in driving profitable growth while ensuring an excellent customer experience\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDrive new business growth across the air freight product offering.\nBuild, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of prospects and opportunities.\nDevelop long-term customer relationships through a consultative, value-led sales approach.\nIdentify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the wider service portfolio.\nMaintain accurate CRM records, forecasting, and sales activity reporting.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver smooth onboarding and excellent service.\nRepresent the business professionally at customer meetings, networking events, and industry forums. \n\nExperience:\n\nProven experience in business development or field sales within freight forwarding or logistics.\nStrong air freight sales experience is essential.\nA track record of winning new business and growing customer accounts.\nExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.\nCommercial awareness, resilience, and a results-focused mindset.\nConfidence working independently while contributing effectively within a wider team. \n\nProcessing Your Data \n\nBis Henderson Recruitment is a leading provider of recruitment, interim management and consultancy services to the supply chain and logistics industry.
